AEDARSA is the independent provincial body responsible for making sure all elevating devices, amusement rides, and passenger ropeways in Alberta comply with provincial safety codes and regulations.
AEDARSA’s Board of Directors is recruiting a new member and is seeking interest from qualified applicants representing the Passenger Ropeways Industry* in Alberta and be eligible to sit as a director as guided by the Alberta Societies & Corporations Act.
A Candidate could have experience or expertise in any of the following areas:
· Knowledge & Technical Understanding of the Passenger Ropeway Industry.
· Financial, Management and or Operations Experience
· Education & Understanding of Board Governance & Best Practices
· Human Resources Knowledge
· Experience with Information Technology and Cyber Security
Board Member Time requirements and responsibilities, include up to 7 days [annually] and attendance at quarterly meetings in Calgary or Edmonton, participation in committees, activities, and other functions. All Board members are eligible for paid honoraria and expense reimbursement.
Board members are expected to demonstrate personal qualities of integrity, sound judgment, collegiality, and respect for the views of others.
