The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for assisting with overseeing the daily housekeeping and laundry operations of 160 condos in 22 different condo properties, delivering an excellent guest and staff experience while monitoring housekeeping standards, and assisting the Operations Manager with hiring and training staff.

Duties and responsibilities include:Assisting the Operations Manager with running the department, training new and existing employees, and reviewing scheduling based on occupancy
Supervising daily shift operations and ensuring compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures
Communicating performance expectations to Housekeeping employees in accordance with job descriptions, and monitoring progress
Conducting daily room inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld
Maintaining par levels of inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and other room materials
Managing housekeeping budgets
Preparing work assignments
Working efficiently with the Maintenance department on guest room maintenance needs.
Ensuring all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms
Educating staff on safe work practices, including the proper storage of chemicals and materials needed for daily room cleaning
Empowering employees to provide excellent customer service
Conducting Human Resources activities
Communicating areas in need of attention to staff and following up to ensure understanding
Handling employee progressive disciplinary procedures as required
Understanding the reservation system
Having a basic understanding of front desk duties and how the hotel operates
Attending all necessary meetings
Assisting with other duties as assigned
Position requirements/skills:Demonstrated staff supervision experience
High-level customer service skills
Complaint handling and resolution experience
Ability to prioritize duties and multi-task
Ability to work well under pressure
Training experience
Knowledge of management principles
Great communication and strong decision-making skills
A proven team player
Ability to manage a large team with excellent leadership skills
Experience in housekeeping is preferred but not required
