The Hotel Manager ensures that exceptional and personalized guest service is met by managing all aspects of the hotel operations including guest experience, reservations and yield management, housekeeping, maintenance, grounds keeping, human resources, bookkeeping, Strata Owner relationships and other ancillary businesses. This is an exciting opportunity for one who is passionately committed to the delivery of outstanding product offerings and exemplary guest service with a goal of increasing its star potential with an outstanding and unparalleled guest experience. The successful candidate must be highly self –motivated, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have strong management and leadership skills.


  • Plan and direct the hotel main operations including quality standards, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in all operations of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Spa
  • Work alongside departmental leaders to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations
  • Conduct weekly operational meetings with the departmental leadership to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance, and guest feedback
  • Be a key player in revenue management and distribution strategy; manage rates and inventory across all channels;
  • Monitor, audit and verify financial transactions to maintain accuracy and ensure correct procedure
  • Generate and distribute management and weekly reports
  • Ensure that staffing levels and expenses are within budget;
  • Train, coach and develop a successful & enthusiastic team of hotel employees
  • Ensure that the appearance and conduct of the hotel team is at all times consistent with the hotel brand;
  • Review departmental scheduling in accordance with labour targets and employment policies
  • Complete payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Handle, investigate and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Know, adhere and enforce the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know, adhere and enforce all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable



  • University or College education in Hotel Management or associated degree required
  • Demonstrable track record of management success in a variety of hotel departments
  • Strong track record on yield/ revenue management, hotel financials, managing costs, ADR and REV PAR
  • Strong understanding of how to leverage social media to meet business objectives
  • Proven team-builder with outstanding motivational skills and coaching abilities
  • Experience using review aggregator and guest survey system an asset
