Department:                            Housekeeping

Location:                                   Lizard Creek Lodge & Fernie Slopeside Lodge

Reporting to:                            Housekeeping Manager

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Housekeeping Supervisor for Fernie Slope Side Lodge. This full time, year round position requires the ideal candidate to be a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping leader, capable of creating an exceptional team, making a significant contribution to our success in the mission to become Canada’s most remarkable on-mountain lodging experiences. The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented, and is flexible and able to work holidays and weekends.  Come join our Resort Lodging team and Experience the Ultimate.

 

Duties:

  • To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Overseeing and working with the Housekeeping team, servicing both properties
  • Provide training, leadership and mentoring to the Housekeeping team, ensuring the group is aware of and engaged with our mission, purpose and values
  • Supplies ordering and inventory control
  • Assigning responsibilities to team members
  • Lead daily crew talks and action follow ups as necessary
  • Supervision, quality control, feedback and accountability for team members
  • Checking and reporting current status of rooms
  • Ongoing suite care
  • Preparing staffing schedules according to hotel occupancy
  • Support and lead the team in all aspects of the resort wide Safety Management Program
  • Know, adhere and enforce the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know, adhere and enforce all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous success in a Supervisory role an asset
  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
