Rooms Maintenance
This position is an integral part of the resort lodging team. We are looking for a “Jack of all trades” person who is familiar with the inner workings of various types of buildings & lodgings. As Rooms Maintenance you will be servicing the interior of condo units, town homes & hotel properties.
Job Duties
Adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
Completing work requests pertaining to lodging units
Preventative maintenance to condos and hotel interior
Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
Maintain & repair all residential appliances
Provide support to all maintenance staff, immediate response to guest requests, assist outside contractors.
Assist with other requests within the lodging department as required
Ensure accurate and timely project close date; help supervisors to adjust working schedules to ensure deadlines are met
Adhere to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory requirements
Inform supervisor of the need to order materials as required
Assist with jobsite administration duties, such as any daily logs that need to be maintained
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
Experience/Requirements:
BC valid driver’s license required & a valid motor vehicle record check
Secondary Education
Knowledge of residential and multi-family plumbing and mechanical systems an asset
2 yrs experience related to building maintenance ideal
Communication skills within work environment among guests and employees.
Require basic hand tool knowledge
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
