Full time, year-round position

Our Sales and Marketing Team works to drive awareness and ultimately visits to the Sea to Sky Gondola. Every day as the leader of the Sales Team, you will welcome visitors from all over the world, as well as local guests, who make the gondola a weekly or even daily activity. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a key point of contact for the Sea to Sky Gondola in building relationships that cultivate business, exposure and partnership opportunities
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and Marketing to create and implement a sales plan with measurable objectives that support the company’s overall strategy to increase revenues
  • Submit quarterly action plans
  • Provide input in the Annual Business Plan as it pertains to market trends, competitive set, revenue growth and budget requirements
  • Prepares, submits and manages the sales budgets to achieve yearly targets
  • Directs and oversees the organization and execution of sales campaigns, relative to the identified market segments
  • Responsible for all tour operator, reseller and groups sales activities and targets
  • Responsible for film location bookings and pricing
  • Participates in trade shows which may require travel – locally, domestically and internationally
  • Represents the Sea to Sky Gondola at community events
  • Attends industry and professional events or conferences to maintain industry and professional knowledge and network with industry peers
  • Collaborates with other internal departments to identify and analyze business requirements and the implications for the related functional area and organization; identifies gaps and implements agreed upon solutions or improvements
  • Prospects and develops new business opportunities
  • Actively participate in weekly Sales and Marketing meetings
  • Responsible for preparing customer correspondence, contracts, proposals and internal reports
  • Promotes cross selling within target markets and co-ordinates sales efforts
  • Maintains personal contact with key accounts through sales calls to build loyalty
  • Ensures that clients are receiving the highest level of attention to their requests by monitoring, guiding and following up on sales inquiries
  • Lead sales presentations, site inspections and host fam tours
  • Knowledgeable on industry & consumer trends
  • Conversant in current affairs as it pertains to building new business opportunities in key markets
  • Responds to all sales leads in a timely manner
  • Monitoring of our industry competitive set and implement sales tactics to increase share
  • Be self-motivated and employ an aggressive sales approach.
  • Develops superior market knowledge of tour & travel trends, competition and evolving technologies
  • Considers and maintains the products and services delivered relative to the Sea to Sky Gondola brand and image, including maintaining accurate and organized files and records and completing documentation related to the sales function
  • Demonstrates leadership and accountability in all related duties and responsibilities
  • Provides training, mentoring and leadership to the Sales Supervisor and Group Sales Coordinators

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of high-level sales management experience in tourism industry
  • Successful completion of post secondary education
  • Advanced level in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with POS systems and Triple Seat an asset
  • Proven supervisory skills and the ability to meet sales/performance targets in a senior sales role
  • Self motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to support the building of strong relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated superior customer service philosophy required
  • Proven experience in managing change, driving innovation and growing business
  • Not content with the status quo; driven to create positive change and growth

  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and general computer skills
  • Must be self-directed, flexible, motivated, & have strong customer service skills

  • Available to work weekends
