You are responsible for working with the Snow School Director in the management of all aspects of the snow school business. This role will be essential to the creation of a culture of learning and development for staff and guest alike.
Work with director in the implementation and administration of snow school programs.
Accountable for the daily operations of the snow school and to provide coverage in the Director’s absence.
Ensure that snow school service philosophy is upheld.
Accountable for the efficient scheduling of staff to meet business levels, service promise and wage to revenue targets.
Work with Panorama managers to arrange scheduling of non-teaching shifts.
Accountable for payroll.
Provide support to the snow school desk supervisor, desk staff, lead hands and program coordinators
Conduct daily staff meetings.
Works with Snow School Supervisor to plan and develop staff training programs.
Evaluate programs/activities and resolve problems.
Participate in management planning sessions including programming, business plans, and goals and objectives.
Ensure Snow School equipment, supplies & amenities are in good working order.
Teach as required based on guest needs and business levels.
As a valued member of the management team, you may be required for duties within the department but outside of your regular role.
Able to work evening and weekends when required.
Two years proven experience in management role in the snow sports industry.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (excel, word, power point, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to communicate, supervise, and provide necessary direction to staff and guests.
Ability to take initiative, be highly organized, effectively communicate, and manage groups.
Proven ability to lead by example, high integrity, and adaptable.
CSIA/ CASI Level 3 or better Certification is an asset.
