Your Responsibilities will include:

Maintain all safety standards and procedures in the work place as well as safe general conditions throughout for all customers and personnel
Utilize materials as efficient as possible
Work closely with Building Maintenance Manager and keep informed of all pertinent information
Lead, guide and direct the activities of Building Maintenance staff in consultation with Building Maintenance Manager
Maintain building maintenance shop materials, cleanliness and orderliness
Maintain the utmost quality of workmanship in new construction and renovation projects
Clean up of materials and debris during and after a project
Operate SPR LLP owned tools and equipment with respect, care and caution
Maintain an appropriate clean appearance at all times
Complete a time activity document detailing where and how much time was utilized on each project and submit to Building Maintenance Supervisor
Maintain familiarization with current and update guidelines of building maintenance concepts and procedures
Assist with other staff as required for on-mountain safety during emergencies
Duties as required to ensure successful operation of the department including support of the other departments and special promotions

Ideal Candidates:

Journeyman Red Seal Plumber with valid BC Gas Ticket in construction trade that is relevant to building maintenance procedures
Knowledge of commercial and industrial buildings
Good communication skills with ability to work harmoniously with other members of staff
Must be able to maintain a calm, friendly manner under periods of stress and frustrations
Good physical condition, willing to and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Recognize and analyze potential problem areas and or deficiencies
Good leadership qualities, dependable, timely and co-operative to all
General understanding of heating/cooling and electrical systems
The ability to schedule / reschedule time effectively to meet events and additional workloads
Strong knowledge of WSBC and BC building code current regulations
Good written and verbal communication skills
Enjoy working with and around the public
Must hold and submit valid driver’s license, drivers abstract yearly
Must supply own hand tools
