Wage: $22.75 per hour

Job Description:

The primary responsibility Lift Operations Supervisor at the Lake Louise Ski Resort and Summer Gondola is to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests using our lifts while supervising and leading a team of lift operators. The Lift Operations group has the most amount of interaction with our guests during their visit and are vital to a positive guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

-Supervision of all Lift Operation employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
-Leading training sessions for new employees and updating training material as required.
-Providing high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations and leading by example.
-Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
-Create and manage the daily schedule for up to 50 employees.
-Daily opening, closing and periodic lift checks.
-Conduct seasonal employee performance reviews and evaluations – ensure to address performance-related issues, as required.
-Ensure adherence by team members of company and departmental policies and procedures.
-Tracking employee work hours and approving payroll.
-Assisting with lift evacuations when necessary.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

-Must possess strong organization and communication skills.
-Must possess strong leadership skills, 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
-Background in lift operations or guest services is considered an asset.
-Able to deal with guests and staff sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
-Safety oriented, adhere to OH&S responsibility and requirements.
-Understanding all aspects of the Lift Operators’ Manual and all emergency procedures.
-Experience with payroll software and MS Office is an asset.
-Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment etc. in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
-Experience “herding cats” is considered an asset.
-Follow all LLSR policies and procedures.
-Intermediate to advance skiing/riding ability preferred.
-Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
