We are seeking motivated and experienced Mountain Bike Trail Attendants to join our team for the summer season. As a Trail Attendant, you will work with a team of trail crew members, ensuring that trail maintenance and construction projects are completed efficiently and safely. You will be tasked with building new trails and maintaining existing trails throughout the resort, daily equipment maintenance and various maintenance and landscaping. You are a front-line staff member, problem solving and providing excellent customer service to create an inclusive experience, united by adventure and empowered by community. Opportunities to move into a lead role for winter operations – creating a full-time permanent position within the resort are available.

 

Job Specifications

Wage:  $20.00/ hour based on experience
Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time – Working between 8-10 hours/day. Weekends and Holidays
Skill Level – Previous experience considered an asset.
Job Responsibilities

Operate power tools and forestry equipment, including chainsaws and brush cutters, in a safe and responsible manner.
Practice safe work procedures at all times.
Adhere to all company operating and maintenance procedures.
Be of sound mind for the entirety of your shift.
Regular work weeks can be expected to up to four, 10-hour night shifts per week.
Complete daily vehicle log sheets and checklists
Perform prestart up inspections as per pre-established checklists.
Perform shutdown and post operational procedures including necessary documentation regarding machine maintenance.
Ensure all machinery is safely and securely stored at the end of each shift.
Operate during designated hours set by the Outside Operations Team, as to not interfere with resort operational hours.
Report all ski run hazards, both current and potential, to the patrol department by the designated time each operational morning.
Practice proper radio protocol as per company policy.
Perform all duties assigned.
Maintain a professional and respectable appearance

Job Requirements

Previous equipment operating experience is considered an asset.
Previous mountain operations experience is an asset.
Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgement regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
Must be physically capable of lifting upto 50 lbs
Must be able stand outside in a mountain environment for long periods of time
Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
Strong communication skills
Must be adaptable, have problem solving skills, and be a team player across all departments
Stress Management, Patient, and have great Time Management Skills
