Your Responsibilities will include:

• Prioritize work during supervisor’s absence.
• Help maintain work orders and maintenance records as directed
• Diagnose equipment problems and determines repairs needed
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes
• Repairs, overhauls, maintains, and services all types of vehicles, snow cats, ATV’s, snowmobiles, excavators, aebi, etc.
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Keep a clean, organized, safe work environment
• Duties as required to ensure successful operation of the department including support of other departments and special promotions
• Teach and assist apprentices or helpers as required

Ideal Candidates:

• Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson certificate
• Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Ability to operate snowmobiles, ATVs and 4×4 trucks and other powered equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to think quickly and follow all safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work will under pressure
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all time
• Knowledge of inventory control and inventory systems for parts management
• Working knowledge of current Worksafe BC regulations
