Duty Managers are responsible for managing hotel resources to ensure guest satisfaction. As a Duty Manager, you will supervise hotel operations and allocate tasks to hotel staff, in order to ensure high efficiency of service.

Duties and responsibilities include:Supervising front office staff, including Front Desk Agents, Night Auditors and Bellmen, to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Assisting with the scheduling of front office staff to ensure busy periods are covered adequately
Troubleshooting all guest issues/problems, and determining and processing any compensation to guests
Maintaining open communication with housekeeping, owners, and all other Central Reservations departments
Having knowledge of the Strata involvement/rules in the hotel, ensuring any Strata issues are reported to the Hotel Manager
Assisting in the organization of front office information, including creating necessary files and folders
Developing a good understanding of the Village layout in order to provide guests with directions to all units in the rental pool, as well as all resort amenities
Being able to supply guests with all information that they need to be able to enjoy their stay
Maintaining health and safety standards, emergency response procedures, WHMIS, and location of emergency shut off valves/fuses
Ensuring the correct procedures are followed for direct, wholesaler and group check-ins/check-outs
Ensuring all walk-in reservations adhere to Big White Central Reservations payment/cancellation policies
Ensuring accurate information is provided to all clients with respect to all Big White and Central Reservations products and services
Assisting with all incoming telephone inquiries
Assisting hotel guests with general questions and inquiries
Assisting the housekeeping department where required
Ensuring the front office and lobby areas are clean and tidy at all times
Ensuring all staff are adhering to health and safety protocols and wearing proper uniforms
Assisting with any other reasonable requests made by the Hotel Manager or Central Reservations Manager

Employment dates:
Full-time, seasonal employment from November 2022 to April 2023. Applicants must be available one week after the season ends to assist with shut-down.
