Job Title: Snow School Manager

Location: Caledon Ski Club, Caledon ON

Employment Type: Full Time Seasonal (November – April)

Reports To: Alpine Director

Job Summary:

Caledon Ski Club is a private members club in the heart of Caledon just 45 minutes North of Toronto with over 3000 members. Our club offers a wide range of snow sport activities with over 220 Snow Pro’s on staff delivering programming for our members and guests. Our vision is clear. Through innovation, dedication and teamwork, we strive to set a new industry standard for both snow pro and student development.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Snow School Manager to lead our snow school operations, ensuring exceptional member and guest experience with the highest level of instruction. The snow school manager will be committed to developing our snow pro staff, their certifications and skills to be industry leading. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for winter sports, and a proven track record in managing snow school programs, instructors, and guest services.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the snow school, ensuring smooth scheduling and efficient instruction.

• Recruit, train, and manage ski and snowboard instructors, fostering a positive and professional work environment.

• Develop and implement lesson programs for all skill levels, including private and group lessons.

• Develop a robust midweek snow pro staff.

• Monitor instructor performance, providing feedback and ongoing training to maintain high teaching standards. Member & Guest Experience & Safety

• Ensure all members and guests receive excellent service and a positive learning experience.

• Maintain high safety standards in all lessons, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

• Manage customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and efficiently.

• Work closely with all departments to coordinate lesson logistics, rentals, and other guest services.

Financial & Administrative Management

• Manage according to the snow school budget, including payroll, lesson pricing, and instructor wages.

• Track lesson bookings, instructor schedules, and overall school performance.

• Assist in marketing initiatives, promotions, and partnerships to increase lesson enrolment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in snow school management or a similar leadership role in the ski industry.

• CSIA L4 Certification Preferred. CSC PL/ CSIA L4 Candidates will also be considered.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of Ski Anywhere software and scheduling systems is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as per the Operational Calendar.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Ski Anywhere and Jonas is an asset.

Schedule:

• September to November intermittent meetings.

• December to April Wednesday to Sunday and holidays as per the operational Calendar.

• Weekends as needed through the fall.
