Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Accounting Technician at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the ideal candidate will have an accounting and/or numerical background, will be highly organized with strong problem-solving skills, have an excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Windows, ACCPAC, Outlook and ADP. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Duties:
• To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Accounts Payable processing
• Accounts Receivable processing
• Process daily cash outs and department revenue
• Assist with training and supervising seasonal accounting staff in the above tasks
• Liaise with internal departments and staff as required
• Liaise with relevant Hotel Operations staff as required
• Support the Accounting Manager to assure the smooth running of the department
• Other related duties as required

Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Have excellent computer skills with a knowledge of Excel, Word, Windows, ACCPAC, Outlook, and ADP
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills required
• Organized, self-motivated, with an eye for detail
• Accounting and/or numerical background
