Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Human Resources Assistant at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous HR experience, will be an excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills, have an excellent knowledge of MSWord and Excel and a customer service orientation. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Recruitment correspondence for all resort applicants
• Pre-screen applicants via StartDate Tracking System
• Responsible for tracking and following up on applicants’ status in the hiring process, booking
interviews, conducting reference checks
• Post jobs on StartDate and all external websites
• Responsible for checking and processing employee onboarding documents, start up packages, covid
passports, criminal record checks, work permits, certifications
• Email correspondence, internal and external
• Staff Newsletter production using MailChimp and Canva programs
• Assist with staff program preparations, promotions, posters
• Safety Management Program record keeping supporting the OHS Coordinator
• Human Resources support work as required
• Miscellaneous administrative work as required
• Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook
• Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
• Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
• To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

• Familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System Software an asset
• Human Resources education or associated equivalent an asset
• Strong time management skills required, organized, independent worker with an eye for detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality required
• Previous experience in office environment required
• Previous experience in HR work an asset
• Previous experience with MailChimp and Canva an asset
• Strong MS Word and Excel skills
