Location: Fernie Alpine Resort
Reporting to: Retail/Rental/Repair Manager
Availability: June to September 2022

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the full-time summer seasonal position(s) of Bike Mechanic, at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the R&R Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous bike shop experience, customer service experience and will be a team player. •To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
•Maintain the working order, quality and safety standards of our Scott rental bike fleet
•Bike Assembly, inspect, repair and do complete overall of fleet bikes and guests’ bikes
•Working knowledge of bicycle components and repairs
•Directly responsible for generating bike parts and accessory sales
•Continuous monitoring of inventory, tool and parts, write draft orders for approval then place parts orders
•Keeping records on all repairs and maintenance in accordance with company standards
•Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work place at all times
•Receive shipments & restock inventory
•Provide assistance with renting bikes and equipment
•Provide excellent customer service as priority
•Abide, maintain and contribute to RCR Policies, Safety Management Program, Covid-19 policies
•Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook
•Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
•Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
•To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

•Previous experience in a similar role in a professional environment
•Extensive knowledge of bicycle components, diagnosis, repairs, maintenance
•Knowledge of fork and disc brake maintenance
•Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment as well as being able to work as part of a team
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Good time management and problem-solving skills
