Your Opportunity:

Love to mountain bike, ski or snowboard? Looking for a start in the bike & ski industry? Are you a safety-oriented team player? Come join the lift operations team! We are currently hiring Lift Operators for the summer season.

Lift Operators play a key role in alpine resort operations. As a Lift Operator, you will be a regular point of contact for guests, providing a positive experience and exceeding guests’ expectations.

This is a physical, outdoor position. Most of your time will be spent outside, working in all weather conditions. You will be on your feet on varying surfaces for most of your shift. You must remain alert and pay close attention to the lift and the guests.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate your assigned lift including daily start up & shut down procedures, and maintain loading/unloading ramps
Assist guests, including children, load and unload from lifts
Lift mountain bikes on and off of carriers
Comply with all company policies and safety procedures
Be spatially aware of your surroundings and working in a safe manner
Validate all guest’s tickets/passes and ensure no misuse or fraudulent activity
Complete tasks on daily checklists such as set up and take down of mazes, signs, etc.
Report on time, alert, and fit to work
Exhibit a positive, upbeat attitude
Maintain a high level of customer service and assisting guests in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.
Maintain a respectable level of personal appearance and caring for your issued uniform
Additional duties as directed.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

Safety-oriented, energetic, friendly and sociable with a flair for customer service
Dependable with a strong work ethic
An excellent communicator and team player, yet also able to work alone
Physically able to bend, twist, sit, stand, and lift mountain bikes
Passionate for the outdoors and able to work in all weather conditions
Able to ski/snowboard or be willing to learn. You will own your own equipment or be willing to buy gear (we offer great staff discounts on gear!). There are limited positions for those who cannot ski or snowboard.
Previous customer service and/or labour experience is and asset but not required.
