Do you enjoy working outdoors in fresh mountain air? We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our Summer Slopes Trail Crew. The Summer Slopes Trail Crew will play a critical role in helping to maintain hiking trails, ski runs, MTB trails, our Disc Golf course and other areas in the resort using various tools. We are passionate about maintaining and protecting the environment within our outdoor recreational spaces, so landscaping, sign maintenance, and erosion control are also part of your daily activities. Job Specifications
Wage: $20.00/ hour based on experience
Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time – Working between 8-10 hours/day. Weekends and Holidays
Skill Level – Entry Level
Job Responsibilities
Maintenance of slopes including but not limited to: re-vegetation, clearing, brushing, maintaining off-run structures, signage, and improvements.
Landscaping (general maintenance and improvement of resort property)
Erosion control, hiking trail sign installation and maintenance, bike trail maintenance and development, and ski run sign maintenance.
Understand and work towards departmental and company goals, timelines, and objectives.
Practice safe work procedures at all times.
Adhere to all company operating and maintenance procedures.
Be of sound mind for the entirety of your shift.
Regular work weeks can be expected to up to four, 10-hour night shifts per week.
Complete daily vehicle log sheets and checklists
Perform prestart up inspections as per pre-established checklists.
Perform shutdown and post operational procedures including necessary documentation regarding equipment maintenance.
Ensure all equipment is safely and securely stored at the end of each shift.
Maintain a professional and respectable appearance
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Must be in good physical shape, able to undertake consistent hard physical work, and able to safely lift heavy objects.
Valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean abstract (we will require consent form signed by the applicant so abstract can be checked).
Must be capable of working closely together with others in a strong team environment.
Must be able to make quick decisions/use considerable judgement regarding safety as well as multitask and anticipate issues
Must be able stand outside in a mountain environment for long periods of time
Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
Must be willing to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of assigned area, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends
Must be adaptable, have problem solving skills, and be a team player across all departments
Stress Management, Patient, and have great Time Management Skills
