Your Responsibilities will include:

Scheduling & planning of day to day projects and backlog
Ordering of parts to meet the timeline demands of the department
Supervision of Lead Hand, Apprentices and Electricians
Be aware of and perform duties in accordance to all Provincial and Federal electrical codes and regulations governing this position.
Keep up to date with changes to applicable company policies, SOG’s, Manufacture recommendations, bulletins, codes and regulations.
Assist with all electrical needs requested by other departments and assigned by the Maintenance Director.
Lead, guide and direct the activities of electrical maintenance staff in consultation with the Lift Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Director.
Assist with scheduling of maintenance, shift assignments, maintaining record keeping, and assume full direction of electrical maintenance staff in the absence of the lift maintenance manager or the maintenance director.
Worker injury management.
Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to all departments.
Keep a clean, organized, safe work environment.
Keep complete maintenance records, including history and scheduling with the utmost diligence.
Maintenance of electrical distribution.
Assist with identifying and critical tasks and creating department related SOG”s
Monitoring and maintaining parts inventory.
Ensure all safety procedures are being followed at all times.
Ensure injury management duties as implemented and completed when required
Report and rectify any unsafe situation.
To assist in any emergency situations – search and rescue, fire fighting etc.
Ensure adherence to all SPRLLP policies as outlined in the current Employee Handbook.
Assume direction of the full lift maintenance department if requested to cover for the absence of the Lift Maintenance Manager and lead hand.

Ideal Candidates:

Journeyman Electrician Canadian red seal with minimum 4 years lift maintenance experience, related experience may be considered.
BCSA FSR A or B electrical certification in an industrial field, will consider candidates who can achieve this after starting.
Minimum 1-year experience working at SPRLLP, other ski area experience may be considered
Selkirk College lift maintenance courses: Lift 151 – Surface Lifts, Lift 152 – Fixed Grip Ski Lifts, and Lift 153 – Detachable Grip Ski Lifts
Employer advisor training: Due Diligence, Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, Accident/Incident Investigation, and Risk Assessment.
Able to operate snowmobiles, ATVs and 4×4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner.
Must be able to maintain a clam, friendly manner under periods of stress and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Good physical condition and be willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
Able to work at heights.
Good leadership qualities; dependable, timely and cooperative.
Strong understanding of Electrical codes, current CSA-Z98 code and the B.C. Safety Standards Act and Elevating devices regulations.
Good working knowledge of the current WorkSafe BC regulations.
Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.
Strong desire to develop a career in the ski industry
