Ski Community Assistance for Mt Joy

If there is one thing that is clearly the Canada West Way, it’s community – the communities our ski areas operate in, and the fantastic community of ski area operators.  The way our community of Ski Areas comes together to support one another is the Canada West Way!

Canada West recently received a letter from Mount Joy Ski Resort in search of “powerbase binding bases” for the snowboard rental fleet.

I am a new board member to Mount Joy Ski Resort and I would like to reach out to members of the CWSAA for your help. We are a small all volunteer run ski hill just outside of Lloydminster, Alberta/Sask. Our ski hill is in the middle of a major facility upgrade, including  a new water reservoir, boring of water lines, new equipment/pump building and a new snowcat. As a result, our financial resources are strained and we are currently unable to commit the funds to replace our rental equipment.

Our rental boards are all equipped with powerbase bindings bases and we are in bad need of the bindings that fit these bases. I know that these bindings are obsolete but I am hoping that there may be some laying around somewhere out there. We are especially in need of the Medium size.

 Thanks
