Places & Faces: Panorama

Immediate Past Chair of CWSAA and Panorama President Steve Paccagnan can be incredibly proud of his ski area. The riding is big. In recent years, it has complemented its well earned reputation for grooming, cruising, and national team training with expansive terrain in Sun Bowl, Dream Zone, and Taynton Bowl, and now features cat access to the Monsters…additional double black terrain. The passenger snow cat itself is supremely comfy and doubles as a passenger vehicle to themid mountain lodges with magical evening events. This is also where Panorama reveals itself as an innovator…the extra experiences.

There are three on-mountain food outlets. The Elkhorn Cabin is one of the most notable. Towed up the mountain from a local ranch years ago, and formerly owned by Don & Heather Bilodeau, it provides daytime service and magical evening functions including an amazing Swiss Raclette.

New this year, marketing gurus Marke and Jamie were proud to showcase…the ‘Snowlicious Mobile Kitchen. Similar in style to urban food trucks, this licensed food cat is used for events and offering service at over 20 locations on the mountain. Its generator is carried on the cat’s blade.

Family friendly events include t-shirt tie dyeing, Bannock and S’mores campfires, and a maple taffy pull.

Panorama’s lift ticket system uses new RFID scanning technology, and close attention is paid to signage…both on the mountain and on the website. https://www.panoramaresort.com/…/…/listing/monster-cat-rides
