Safety Sign Orders
Over the past month, CWSAA has been accepting sign orders for the new Exclusion of Liability notice, Alpine Responsibility Code and Lift Safety signs. There was a glitch in our website program, and we hope we’ve caught everyone’s orders. Dawn has confirmed all orders received – if you have not received a direct confirmation of your order, please let us know ASAP at office@cwsaa.org.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
NEW Safety & Risk Awareness webpage materials
As a continuation of the CWSAA Exclusion of Liability Program, a new Safety & Risk Awareness webpage has been developed and is now available for ski areas to integrate with their website.
The new Exclusion of Liability sign wording references on-line Safety and Risk Awareness information. CWSAA strongly recommends that ski areas post Safety and Risk Awareness information on their website and may use or link to information presented on the new CWSAA webpage. More details are being sent directly to all Ski Area General Managers.
CWSAA wishes to thank the contributors to this initiative and especially recognize Robert Kennedy for his tremendous effort.

Pass Powderkeg, Alberta
Lions Den Yurt construction
Pass Powderkeg is expanding its youth programming, thanks to a donation from the Coleman Lions. With the donation, Pass Powderkeg will be constructing a Mongolian Yurt to house children’s activities for those aged 18m to 6years.
General Manager Katherine Seleski, picked up the Yurt earlier this summer from the distributor in Ontario, and the construction will be happening shortly.
We asked Katherine about the yurt: “It’s a fascinating structure – the metal within it can fit in my hands. Otherwise, this “style” is an authentic Mongolian yurt made from nearly 100% natural materials, like sheep felt insulation, horse hair rope, cotton canvas, Siberian pine and camel hide to hold things together. With a bit of Tyvek, and metal for hinges and eye hooks, it makes for quite a building. ” Read the Press Release.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text icon_color=”” css=”.vc_custom_1568649526484{border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-color: #edd821 !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}”]Sea to Sky Gondola, BC
